GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING SCIENTIFIC PAPERS

To ensure the quality and organization of the scientific papers presented at the XXII CABNc, participants must follow the submission guidelines below.
The submission period will be from August 10, 2026 to November 30, 2026.

1. Get informed

To submit papers, the author responsible for submitting the abstract must be registered for the event. Payment is not required at the time of registration. This can be done after your abstract has been accepted. Other authors who register for the congress should not resubmit the already submitted abstract.

2. Register

Access the Participant Area, By providing the login and password you registered during enrollment, new menus will be displayed.

3. After Login

Click on the “Submissions” menu.

4. Follow the instructions.

Follow the on-screen instructions to access the abstract submission form. Fill in all fields of the online form. Note: Abstracts may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.

5. Review carefully

Before submitting your abstract, please review it carefully. Any changes will only be allowed until February 20, 2027.

6. Choose the option.

Please indicate your preferred format: Oral Presentation or Electronic Poster.

7. Finalize

After you have finished submitting your abstracts, click the "Disconnect" button.

8. Email confirmation

After submitting the abstract, an automatic email will be sent to the person responsible for the work (the one who submitted it), confirming the registered information. Please verify that all information is correct. If it is not, you must access your restricted area and make the necessary changes (which can be done until 20/02/27 – the deadline to correct author names and change the presenter's name).

9. In case of problems

If you do not receive the automatic email confirming delivery on the same day, the summary may not have been sent correctly. In this case, please contact our HelpDesk and inform them of the event and the problem encountered.

10. New access points

For new web access, simply enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD. If you have forgotten them, use the "Forgot Password" option at the top of the page.

Important information

  • ABSTRACT / RESUME / ABSTRACTIt can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. Regardless of the language chosen, it is essential that it is grammatically correct; otherwise, it may be rejected.
  • The deadline for submitting abstracts is: August 10, 2026 to November 30, 2026.
  • Up to 4 entries per registrant will be accepted. 
  • When submitting an abstract, the author must be registered for the Congress (even if registration is not yet paid).
  • IMPORTANTThe presenter of the work may be any of its authors, provided they are duly authorized. registered, with registration Paid and identified as the presenter in the submission login.
  • There is no limit to the number of authors per paper. Enter the authors in the desired order. AttentionThe certificate will be issued in the exact order of submission (maximum limit of 10 authors per work).
  • The results of the work will be published in the author's restricted area, under the "My Works" menu, on January 20, 2027.
  • The person responsible for submitting the work, after obtaining its approval, needs to confirm payment of their registration fee.  See you soon. The presentation should be given by the person indicated when the work was submitted. 
  • Abstracts will be submitted exclusively through the official Congress website.
  • Only one (1) certificate will be issued per submitted work. Certificates will be printed in the order of authors registered. nNo changes to the list of authors will be accepted after 28/02/27..
  • AttentionAll materials produced based on the abstracts (proceedings, certificates, etc.) will be a faithful reproduction of the information submitted by the author. Therefore, it is not possible to make changes to the spelling of the title, abstract, or authors after the submission deadline. We emphasize that the information provided is the sole responsibility of the author submitting the abstract. Names spelled incompletely (by abbreviation or omission of one or more surnames) will not be changed and will appear in the official program and digital certificate as provided by the author at the time of registration.
  • Discounted fees will be applied according to the dates in the 'Registration Fees' table available on the event website, regardless of the date of paper approval. To guarantee the discounted payment, it is necessary to respect the dates described in this table. There will be no refund of registration fees paid in cases of withdrawal or absence from the Congress.
  • The author may choose their preferred format for presenting the work (oral presentation or e-posterHowever, the Scientific Committee reserves the right to change this choice. Oral presentations or e-posters may be in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.
  • Papers that are not accepted for oral presentation may be approved for electronic poster presentation, and the authors will be informed of this decision.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts without stating the reasons for the rejection.
  • The final decision of the evaluation committee is considered supreme, irrevocable, and unappealable, and will not be reviewed. 
  • By submitting their work, authors assume responsibility for complying with the laws and ethical standards governing research with human beings and animals, including approval by Research Ethics Committees and Clinical Ethics Committees for Animal Research.
  • The Organizing Committee of the Congress will not be responsible for registration fees, transportation, accommodation, or other costs incurred for the presentation of papers in any format.
  • Submitting the abstract represents a commitment by the author(s) to present the work, if accepted, during the event. Please note: if the presenter's registration fee is not paid, they will be automatically excluded from the congress.

Instructions for preparing abstracts

  • TitleIt should be concise and reflect the study to be presented, with a limit of 150 characters.
  • SummaryIt should not exceed 200 words (excluding title and authorship/affiliation).
  • KeywordsThree keywords must be included, selected based on the main themes of the work.
  • Oral presentationThe abstract should be typed in a single body of text, structured as follows: Introduction, Objective, Method, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Case reports in e-Poster format: Structured abstracts in: Case Presentation, Discussion, and Concluding Remarks.  Considering that case reports contribute significantly to the exchange of experience among professionals, the Committee recommends that only reports of common cases with atypical evolution or truly rare cases of significant relevance be submitted.
  • ModalitiesSystematic review, case reports.
  • The institution or institutions where the work was carried out, as well as the names of the authors, NO They should be mentioned in the body of the text.
  • Trade names are not allowed, only the generic names of the drugs.
  • The content of the summary should be related to the chosen topic.
  • The use of graphs or tables will not be permitted in the online abstract submission, although such resources may be used in the formatting of the final presentations.
  • Bibliographic references: These should NOT be included in the electronic submission.
  • Authors are encouraged to refrain from using abbreviations.
  • Results based on statements such as "results will be presented" or "data will be analyzed" will not be considered. These should be presented as clearly as possible, and conclusions should be based on the data presented. In this case, the authors should present preliminary results or, for example, if it is an ongoing study. Similarly, abstracts containing results from the same study that are scattered across different abstracts will not be accepted.

Instructions for approved works

Oral presentation format

Duration of the oral presentation: The oral presentation of the work must be carried out within the stipulated time of 8 minutes, and is mandatory.

Presentation format: Only one of the authors should lead the presentation of the work.

Formatting and layout: The slide sections can be adjusted according to the structure of the submitted abstract. The visual identity of the slide must be preserved, maintaining the organization and layout of the text boxes. Adding images and graphs is permitted, provided they do not compromise readability.

The template contains the ideal structure for organizing the content of your presentation and must be followed in its entirety. CertificateIssuance is contingent upon submission of the e-poster slide and participation in the in-person event.

Format/Template: The works must be submitted in electronic poster (E-Poster) format, according to the template; that is, they do not need to be printed.

Publication

The list of all approved papers will be published on the Congress website under "My Papers".“

Certificates

After the congress, the electronic certificate for the approved work will be made available to the author responsible for submitting the work on the website (by attending the eventTo print or download the PDF, the congress participant must access the area “Certificates”, located on the congress homepage, and enter the registered email address.

ImportantThe certificates will not be sent directly to the congress participant's email address.

The following certificates will be issued:

  • One (1) certificate with the title of the work, the approved modality and the names of all authors registered at the time of submission (ATTENTIONThe names will appear on the certificate exactly as submitted; please check before submitting.
  • 01 (one)  A certificate will be issued stating the title of the work, the approved modality, and the name of the presenter. ATTENTIONThe presenter of the work must identify themselves in  your registration
  • At least one of the authors must be registered and attend the event in order for a certificate to be issued.
  • ImportantIt is necessary to respect the maximum limit of 4 (four) works per registration.
