Founded on October 18, 1974, the Brazilian Academy of Neurosurgery – ABNc, has as its patrons the illustrious Professors José Ribe Portugal and Elyseu Paglioli, prominent pioneers in the field of Neurosurgery in Brazil.
ABNc is a private, nationwide civil association dedicated to scientific and cultural development, operating on a non-profit basis. We recognize the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies as the highest associative entity in global neurosurgery, adopting and respecting its legislative and organizational criteria.
